ここでは、私たちの使っている銘木から少し変わった材についてご説明します。
「ジンダイケヤキ、ジンダイタモ」
ジンダイ=神代:長い間土中・水中に埋もれていた木を掘り起こし木材にしたものです。味わい深い色合いとテクスチャーが特徴です。

JINDAI means Lignitized. It is a precious wood that was buried in a long time in the earth or water. It has a deep color and texture.

[KEYAKI]
Japanese Zelkova. A hardwood, quite popular wood for furniture or sculpture in Japan. It has a beautiful grain and the characteristic of producing luster when polished.
[Magnolia]
Japanese white-bark magnolia. The wood core has a pale green color. It has been used for sword sheaths in Japan. Because the blade does not rust even if the blade touches the tree.
